in the han dynasty, there was an official called yang yun who was both capable1(有才华的) and honest. commenting on the assassination2 of a king of a small state, he said, "if a king refuses to follow the advice of a wise minister, he will suffer an unitimely death. the emperor of the qin dynasty trusted treac*us3(*诈的) ministers, and therefore lost his state." he compared kings and emperors to racoons(浣熊) living on the same mountain.
